Statement of Chairman Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) on Tentative Bipartisan Economic Growth Plan

WASHINGTON – Senate Republican Conference Chairman Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) today released the following statement on the tentative bipartisan economic growth plan:
“American families are being squeezed by gasoline and health care costs and the housing slump. Congress should quickly take action to help, but we should make sure the plan will grow the economy and help families and not just serve as an excuse to spend.”
